The main reasons of web sites and servers being hacked are old scripts, bad script installtions and unprotected personal computer.

What should you do?

- Update scripts regulary
- Follow the readme instructions during the installation
- Never put 777 or 666 permission on directories. Permission of your directories should be either 755 or 644. Use 777 or 666 only if you need something to install, but after the installation put it back to 755 or 644.
- Do not use Online FTP
- Frequently change your FTP and Direct Admin password
- Protect your computer by using antvirus. (IMPORTANT: Your antivirus must be updated. Scan your computer at least once a week.)
- Licensed Windows or any other OS.
